When gardening or planning to garden, you can end up with a lot of tools, seeds and accessories.
- Decide where you want to keep your gardening items (Does it make sense to keep it in the garage? A gardening shed? In a container outside on the patio? Or, in the laundry room or mudroom?
- If you are keeping organic items like soil and seeds, make sure they're in something that can be sealed. It will help keep it dry and trap smells inside. If it's somewhere animals and insects could potentially reach it, the sealed container will help prevent critters from eating your supplies.
- Have a basket with gardening tools that’s accessible to you. Keep the hand tools in one place for easy trimming, digging and planting.
- Get rid of things that are out of date. Seeds go bad; tools can rust beyond repair; materials (like aprons) get thread bare.
